The most important questions & answers about the Tamina Gorge
Access to Alter Bad Pfäfers and the Tamina Gorge is possible by post bus (every hour from Bad Ragaz station at xx.35 with the exception of 12.35), Rösslipost or on foot. Cars, bicycles and e-scooters are prohibited along the entire route.

The Tamina Gorge can be reached via various hiking trails. The most popular route leads from Bad Ragaz on the Badtobelstrasse to Alter Bad Pfäfers and takes around 1.5 hours, depending on the exact starting point and walking speed. From Bad Ragaz railroad station, the route is 5.5 kilometers and has an elevation gain of just under 200 meters. (outward journey only)
Yes, you can also visit the Tamina Gorge with a baby carriage. You can pick up a key to get through the turnstile at the kiosk in the Alte Bad Pfäfers.
Dogs are allowed on the Badtobelstrasse (between Bad Ragaz and the Alter Bad Pfäfers). Dogs are not allowed from the turnstile to the Tamina Gorge. We ask for your understanding.
The Alte Bad Pfäfers is a historic building, most of which can only be reached by stairs. The access road from Bad Ragaz to the Alter Bad Pfäfers and the Tamina Gorge is not suitable for people with limited mobility. We ask for your understanding.
