Old post office in the Weisstannental

The Alte Post in Weisstannental is an interactive museum with a rich history spanning almost 250 years. It includes the old village sawmill and alpine dairy and offers insights into the rafting of timber in the 19th century.
A house full of stories - if the "Alte Post" could talk! It would have a lot to tell - and that from almost 250 years.
The "Alte Post" was an important meeting place for young and old from near and far.
The house with its unique past should remain a lively place for exciting encounters. The museum also includes the Old Village Sawmill and the Old Alpine Dairy. The three objects and the rafting of wood in the 19th century, which is presented by the stream, form a small museum landscape.
The Weisstannental Experience Foundation was established in 1998. Its aim is to preserve important contemporary witnesses of the valley for posterity and bring them to life. From the outset, the foundation set itself the goal of gently restoring the old post office and operating it as an interactive museum.
