Windegg viewpoint

The Windegg vantage point in the Tamina Valley offers a unique view of the Glarus Thrust and the Tamina Gorge. It is a popular resting point with information boards and climbing rocks.

The info point for the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona is located in the Tamina Valley between Pfäfers and Vadura. With its unique view of the main Glarus thrust at the Wildseehörner and the view into the Tamina Valley and towards the Tamina Gorge, it is a popular place to linger. In addition to comfortable seating and loungers, originally designed information boards, lookout points and climbing rocks invite you to linger. From the vantage point, you also have an excellent view of the Tamina Bridge, the largest arch bridge in Switzerland. It connects the two villages of Pfäfers and Valens at the end of the valley.
