Bath chapel

Bath chapel
The bathing chapel in Bad Ragaz, renovated in neo-Gothic style, is dedicated to St. Magdalene. It is located in a powerful place with high levels of earth radiation, which can support healing processes.
The history of the Alte Bad Pfäfers - the last surviving baroque spa in Switzerland - begins in 1240 when, according to legend, two hunters discovered the warm spring. Over the years and centuries, the spa grew and became a sought-after, international health resort with a famous clientele. Owned by the Canton of St. Gallen since 1838, the restored bathing center, which escaped demolition, is now an oasis of nature, culture and pleasure, run by the Old Baths Pfäfers Foundation. The original baroque bathing chapel, renovated in neo-Gothic style, is dedicated to St. Magdalene. It is well worth a visit. Here you are once again in a place of great power. The intensity of the earth's radiation is very high, the quality of the energy is restorative and can support healing processes. Only part of the wall and the niche in the stone of the former Magdalen Chapel in the gorge remain. Until the Middle Ages, a small chapel with an image of St. Magdalene is said to have stood here, protected by the rock. Her bells are said to have rung automatically when a spa patient died. This is also a place of power with healing energy.
