The first church is thought to date back to the 7th/8th century. The slender church tower leans against the stately, late Gothic nave. The west wall of the arcade-shaped porch is adorned inside and out with epitaphs from the noble families of Gugelberg, von Planta and von Salis. The interior is characterized by a simple late baroque style. The bell ringing has included five bells since 1961 and two in 1788.
