Enjoying a glass of wine in the Ochsen's paneled Arvenstube is a stately experience. The menu does not have many lines, but great importance is attached to spoiling guests with the best products from the region. In addition to a hearty barley soup, you will find a Grisons platter with air-dried meat specialties and cheese. The Bündnerstube, built in 1926, with its blue tiled stove invites you to linger. In winter, the stove is heated daily with old vine roots. Many cozy hours have been spent on the sunny balcony with a view over the roofscape of Malans to the nearby mountains. During the opening hours of the Donatsch winery's wine tavern "zum Ochsen", you have the opportunity to order a variety of home-made wines by the glass. There is also a tasting board with four different Donatsch wines on offer. There is no wine list to browse through in the Ochsen, but there is one to walk through. Guests can search for their favorite wine in the vinotheque. In addition to numerous vintages from the Donatsch winery, you will find a huge selection of exquisite wines from the Bündner Herrschaft, Bordeaux and Burgundy. Over two hundred different top wines and sought-after rarities are available to choose from.
