Arrival of the Sami lice in Bad Ragaz

The bishop arrives with 40 Samichläusen and Schmutzli - a 60-year-old tradition lives on!
Every year on December 6, the bishop parades with 40 Santa Clauses and Schmutzli from Föhrenwäldli through the village of Bad Ragaz to the village baths. Adults and children, locals and vacation guests as well as hundreds of visitors from far and wide come to experience the unique atmosphere.
They listen intently to the bishop's impressive words and get in the mood for the festive Advent season in a fairytale setting. With their lanterns, the bishop and his Sami lice bring light into the village, into the houses and into the hearts of all visitors.
The Harmonie Bad Ragaz music society plays to shorten the wait for Santa Claus.
