Media release

Bad RagARTz 2024, one of the most renowned open-air exhibitions in Europe, starts on May 4. During this time, the spa town of Bad Ragaz and Vaduz in Eastern Switzerland will be transformed into a landscape full of sculptures. For the first time this year, art tours will be offered daily and can be booked now.

The 9th Swiss Sculpture Triennial will take place in Bad Ragaz and Vaduz (FL) from May 4 to October 30, 2024. Around 80 international artists will be showing their works in the open air in parks, green spaces, streets and squares. There are no doors and no admission at Bad RagARTz 2024. Viewing the sculptures is free of charge. The idea of the initiators of Bad RagARTz is to bring art out of museums and into the open air. To where the public is.

For those who want to find out more about the works of art and their creators, there is once again a wide range of guided tours on offer. This year, guided tours are being offered daily for the first time. The individual guided tours are now described at www.heidiland.com/badragartz and can be booked directly online or by telephone at the Heidiland information point in Bad Ragaz. The popularity of the offer is shown by the figures from the last edition: over 1,000 guided tours were held during Bad RagARTz 2021.

Under the full moon, for children and for groups
A total of 27 expert guides are on duty this year. They are currently preparing for their task and are intensively studying the exhibiting artists and their works.

The range of different art tours is also very broad this year. The popular public tours have been expanded once again this year. They range from special morning and evening tours to guided tours of the parks in Bad Ragaz and Vaduz and full moon tours. The art tours are specially designed for kindergartens and schools: children-specific tours that last around two hours and are supplemented with interactive and playful activities. There will now also be special art tours for people with disabilities.

Individual private and group tours, which are very popular with clubs and companies, are also on offer again this year.

Art at the entrance to the Tamina Gorge
The Alte Bad Pfäfers at the entrance to the famous Tamina Gorge will once again host the popular festival of small sculptures in summer 2024. Visitors can marvel at art within the historic walls while discovering the unique history of the Pfäfers thermal waters that once made the spa town of Bad Ragaz world-famous.
