4 bathing beaches on Lake Walen

There are four freely accessible bathing spots in the Heidiland region. The bathing spots all have a pebble beach and usually also a sunbathing lawn. Infrastructure such as toilets and changing rooms are available, as are catering facilities at the beach bars or the local kiosk.
Please note: Dogs are generally allowed on the beaches. Please follow the signs on site. Dogs are sometimes required to be kept on a lead or are prohibited
#1 Bathing beach in Murg
This bathing beach with a pebble beach is located on the peninsula in Murg on the southern shore of Lake Walen in the immediate vicinity of Camping Murg. A diving platform, barbecue area and playground round off the facilities.
#2 Unterterzen bathing beach
The Unterterzen bathing beach is located on the grounds of the Resort Walensee and attracts visitors with a spacious sunbathing lawn, beach kiosk, barbecue area and playground. Water sports equipment can be hired directly on site from the Intersport branch.
#3 Mols beach
The spacious sunbathing lawn and playground are ideal for families. A small kiosk nearby provides refreshments.
#4 Bathing beach Walenstadt
The lido in Walenstadt boasts a large sunbathing lawn with lots of trees, a 3-metre diving platform, a river and a beach bar. The Walensee ship landing stage is also located directly on site.
Our family tip
All four bathing beaches are part of the Walensee play experience and are equipped with a themed playground. It connects five themed playgrounds and a themed trail around Lake Walen with the ship and offers an exciting adventure for your family outing.
