How to enjoy the evening in Switzerland
When the sun goes down behind the mountain, the Heidiland vacation region has plenty to do to bring the day to a worthy close. Night skiing, moonlight descents or a night-time ski tour.
We have 5 winter activities for you to experience after sunset .
#1 Night skiing
Skiing under the stars: a special experience for all winter sports fans. When day turns to night, the slopes are illuminated for you. On Flumserberg and Pizol , you can make your turns in the snow on Fridays from December 27, 2024 to March 7 (Pizol) or March 18 (Flumserberg), 2025.
This is also possible on three additional Saturdays on Flumserberg. (28.12.2024 / 15.02.205 / 22.02.2025)
#2 Night sledging
On your runners, get set, go! Night sledging is another adrenaline rush. The floodlit toboggan runs on the Flumserberg and Pizol await you from 27 December 2024 to the beginning of March 2025 with a speedy descent. Does sledging make you hungry? Recharge your batteries in the open restaurants along the way.

#3 Ride along with the snow groomer
A special box seat awaits you on the Pizol: you can take a seat in a snow groomer for an evening. In the 500 hp machine, you will experience how the slopes are shaped, prepared and leveled for winter sports enthusiasts. Afterwards, you can not only take home lots of exciting impressions, but also your own snow groomer diploma.
#4 Fondue gondola
Every Saturday evening, you can float above the sea of lights in a gondola and enjoy a delicious fondue. Wrapped up in fleece blankets and lambskins, you can gaze out over the illuminated Sarganserland while you eat. Dessert is served in the Edelweiss panorama restaurant.
#5 Moonlight descent
You can simply extend your skiing day with the moonlight descent. After the regular operation, you stay on the mountain and enjoy an aperitif and dinner in the Pizolhütte . Then it's time to strap on your skis or snowboard before heading back to Furt with the group by the light of the moon. The moonlight descent will take place on January 17, 2025 and February 14, 2025.
#6 Night ski touring piste
For all those who prefer to earn their turns themselves, there is the opportunity to use a selected piste on Friday evenings for the ascent on touring skis. So you can spend your training session under the stars instead of in the gym. Please make sure you stick to the specified days and times to ensure everyone's safety.
